Mass Denver Sighting on the Day of the Eclipse: On the evening of February 26th, on the day of the solar eclipse and the new moon, there was a major sighting event over Colorado. Details are still coming in, but one report puts a large fireball, blue-green, over Colorado for 4 minutes. Peter Davenport, on the Art Bell show, noted that since the velocity to heat an object to visibility is almost 11,000 mph and it is unlikely that such an object could be a meteor. It is interesting to note that this sighting comes on the day of a total eclipse, however it was not near totality in Denver. There may be multiple sightings. The Denver Media has been silent on this matter so far, except for the radio station KHOW 630 am, which is interestingly an Art Bell affiliate. Peter Boyles carried on coverage of this and took calls from local residents. The helicopter pilot reported a black huey helicopter in their flight pattern that did not have a communications device (ID) or acknowledge radio transmissions. The pilot was very upset, and carried on for almost three minutes about the black chopper (very early am, probably about 6:30 to 6:45am). Michael Curta from MUFON was on Peter's show and Art Bell. It ran right after Art Bell ended. The above link is to Art Bells show (THURS/FRI), so you can hear what Denver callers were telling Art Live on the Air. His entire show was about these sightings, and there is a wealth of information in this show. I wish I could have taped Peter Boyles show. Unfortunately, this activity has been foreshadowed by the tragedy in Alma, Co., and the media is ignoring another major event. Anyone having photos or video of this object(s) contact hetsko@qadas.com or UFOHUNTER@netwrx.net We will post them on the OVNI CHAPTERHOUSE for all to see. If you already know of this, apologies for the redundant information. Bob Hetsko Jefferson County, Colo
